Now Hiring: Body Technician
Position Overview:
As a Body Technician at Phase Il Autobody, you will play a critical role in restoring vehicles after collisions and damage. This is a hands-on position requiring technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
Basic Duties:
Repair Collision Damage You will use your skills to repair dents, scratches, and structural damage caused by accidents. This includes straightening bent panels, welding cracks, and replacing severely damaged components.
Prepare Vehicles for Repair Proper preparation is essential. You will disassemble necessary parts, remove dents and imperfections, and prepare surfaces for refinishing.
Maintain a Safe Work Environment Safety is a top priority. You will follow established safety protocols, use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Work With Estimates You will assist in assessing vehicle damage and contribute to creating accurate repair estimates.
Collaborate With the Team We believe teamwork drives quality. You will work closely with other technicians and shop staff to ensure repairs are completed efficiently and to high standards.
Basic Skillset Requirements
Metalworking Expertise Strong understanding of handling and manipulating metals such as steel and aluminum. Experience with hammering, straightening, welding, and cutting is required.
Auto Body Knowledge Familiarity with vehicle structures and repair techniques. Ability to identify parts and understand how components function together.

Tool Proficiency Ability to safely and effectively operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and body shop machinery.

Position Overview:
As an Estimator at Phase Il Autobody, you are a key point of contact for customers. This role combines technical knowledge, customer service, and analytical skills to create accurate repair estimates.
Basic Duties:
Analyze Repair Needs Thoroughly examine damaged vehicles to determine the extent of repairs required. Interpret repair procedures and identify necessary parts.
Research and Price Parts Obtain accurate pricing from suppliers and vendors. Ensure competitive and fair rates.
Estimate Labor Costs Calculate required labor hours based on industry standards and shop rates.
Create Detailed Estimates Prepare comprehensive repair reports outlining parts, labor, and total cost for customer approval.
Communicate Effectively Explain the repair process clearly and professionally. Address customer questions and build trust through transparency.
Basic Skillset Requirements
Strong Math Skills Accurate estimating requires proficiency in calculations involving material quantities and labor hours.
Attention to Detail Missing even minor damage can affect repair accuracy and customer satisfaction.
Knowledge of Collision Repair Procedures Understanding the repair process allows for realistic labor estimates and proper planning.
Parts & Labor Cost Research Ability to research current pricing and ensure estimates remain competitive while supporting shop profitability.
